A bit about me...
Hey! I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Macy! I’m a barista, artist, psychology student, and child of God. I felt my Father leading me to create this brand to help fund my dreams of going to bible college in Florida, getting my masters in Psychology, and creating conversations starters to help share my faith with the world around me!
Where we begin:
My journey starts way back when I was little. I’ve always had a passion for art, design, clothing, photography and media. My dear mother would always have to clear the kitchen table before each meal because I loved making art so much! In high school, I tried my hand at designing stickers to sell on Etsy. This helped me dip my toe into the business world and allowed me to gain firsthand experience in running a product-based business!
Where I am now:
I created Salt & Light Studio for two primary reasons. The first and foremost was to create a way to start conversations about my precious Jesus and His incredible love for his children. I’ve always loved supporting Christian small businesses and subsequently was thrilled when I felt led to create my own! The second reason is much more personal. My current dream is to become a licensed therapist and Christian counselor, specifically focusing on pre-teen and teenagers. To reach my goal, I will be starting at a bible college in September down in Orlando, Florida, followed by a degree in Psychology and Masters in Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy. My only problem is that my barista salary doesn't allow me to save much towards my goal.
